Second position for Scuderia Baldini in Imola's qualifying round

La Scuderia Baldini in pole position al Mugello con Giancarlo Fisichella, Arthur Leclerc e Tommaso Mosca

The Ferrari 296 GT3 of Scuderia Baldini will start from second place on the grid for the 3-hour race at Imola, part of the Italian GT Endurance Championship. The Enzo e Dino Ferrari Circuit was the setting for a highly competitive qualifying session, with Tommaso Mosca, Giancarlo Fisichella, and Arthur Leclerc narrowly missing out on pole position.

Tommaso Mosca was the first to take the wheel, setting a time of 1:40.823 and earning the fastest lap in Q1. He then handed over to Giancarlo Fisichella, who finished seventh in Q2 with a time of 1:41.415. The session ended early due to a rival car going off track, bringing out the red flag. Arthur Leclerc was the third to jump in the car, qualifying fourth with a lap of 1:40.616. The combined times placed them second overall, allowing Scuderia Baldini’s trio to start from the front row in what promises to be an action-packed race.

Fabio Baldini, Team Principal:
"Finishing qualifying in P2 is a good result for the team. Our goal is always to maximize the car's potential, and today we came close to what we had hoped for. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, but we're satisfied with the work of the drivers and the entire team. Starting from second position puts us in a strong place for the race, where maintaining focus will be key. We’ll keep working hard to achieve the best possible result tomorrow."

The race, lasting 3 hours, will start Sunday, September 8 at 14:45 and will be broadcast live on TV on ACI Sport TV, Sky channel 228, as well as on the YouTube channel Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo (link available at the bottom of the page).
