After the win in Vallelunga, scuderia baldini is back on track at Mugello

After their home win in Vallelunga, for Scuderia Baldini time has come to go back on track for the second round of the Italian GT Championship, which will take place on the 14th of July at Mugello.

The Ferrari GT3 #27 will go back on the tuscan track where last year, with Tommaso Mosca and Giancarlo Fisichella, managed to get pole position and later the victory as well.

One of the difficulties in addition, to the team of car #27, will be the additional time handicap expected for the winner of the previous race by 30 seconds. The additional time will be lost during the first of the mandatory stops back in the box.

“I’m very impatient to go back on track this weekend for the Mugello round. My teammates and I are very much ready and most of all satisfied with the win we got in Vallelunga, during the last meeting of the championship. Now for the second round, we are aiming for another excellent result, as we are aware of the difficulties that await us, both due to the performances shown by the opponents and the handicap we will have to serve. In any case, we will do everything that we can to catch up. It would be crucial to obtain a good qualifying to then manage a better race, as we’ve already done in Vallelunga and during last year’s races.”

“We are ready for the race at Mugello, and we will try our best to defend the leadership we have in the championship. We will have a 30 seconds time penalty from the win of the first race, however we will give everything to get the victory.”

“Really looking forward to starting on track on Friday. Last weekend in Vallelunga we did quite well, I hope we do the same in Mugello. The Tuscan track doesn’t match our strength as much as Vallelunga because we are not so strong in straight lines, but we will try to do our best to maximize every single thing that we can to try to reproduce the same weekend that we had in Vallelunga.”

The schedule for the weekend has set two sessions of free practice, one hour each, on Friday morning at 10:45 and later at 3:45pm. Saturday will see another session of free practice at 10am of equal time as the others. And then during the afternoon (from 4:40pm to 5:45pm) the three turns for qualifying will take place.

The race will start on Sunday the 14th at 3pm and will last around three hours. It will be broadcasted live on ACI Sport TV, Sky’s 228 channel, in addition to the YouTube channel Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo (the link can be found at the bottom of the page).
