Scuderia Baldini is ready for the third round of the CIGT Endurance in Imola

The summer break has come to an end for Scuderia Baldini, which is now getting ready to go back on track for the third round of the Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Endurance on the Imola circuit.

The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari will host what is already coming along to be a thrilling weekend, with Giancarlo Fisichella, Arthur Leclerc, and Tommaso Mosca determined to defend their championship lead at the wheel of the Ferrari 296 GT3.

After a bittersweet weekend in Mugello, where Scuderia Baldini had to face a tough race that ended with a four-place finish in the PRO class, the goal in Imola is to make up for it by performing at the top.

Here are the drivers’ statements before the first round at Mugello

"It's finally time to go back on track and this weekend we are racing in Imola, one of my favorites. I have great memories at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, such as my first Formula 3 win, the first time I scored points in Formula 1 and lots of wins in GT. The last race in Mugello didn't go as we expected but, on a positive note, we won't have any handicaps to serve. We must take advantage of this situation and gain as many points as possible for the championship."

"I’m ready to give my best after this long summer break. I’m confident that both the team and me will do what it takes to be at the top for the last two rounds of the championship. Moreover, Imola is actually my favorite track, so I can’t wait to drive the new Ferrari 296 GT3 on this circuit."

Arthur Leclerc:

"I can’t wait to go back on track in Imola next weekend, as it’s basically a home race being so close to Maranello. We are currently championship leaders, so it will be special to race there, and I hope a lot of fans will come and support us. Racing at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari with a Ferrari will give us great emotions."

The schedule of the weekend will see two free practice sessions, one hour each, on Friday morning at 10:45 and later at 4:00 pm. FP3 will go underway on Saturday morning at 9:15, followed in the afternoon by the three qualifying sessions, scheduled for 5:15. The three-hour race will start on Sunday, September 8th, at 2:45 pm and will be broadcasted live on ACI Sport TV, channel 228 on Skyl, and on the YouTube channel of the Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo (the link can be found at the bottom of the page).
