Scuderia Baldini on pole position at Mugello

La Scuderia Baldini in pole position al Mugello con Giancarlo Fisichella, Arthur Leclerc e Tommaso Mosca

Scuderia Baldini’s season in the Italian GT Endurance Championship continues in first place. At the Mugello circuit, the large number of cars registered for the race made traffic management really difficult, adding another challenge for Scuderia Baldini, who managed to get the second pole position in a row. After the great potential shown in Vallelunga, where Giancarlo Fisichella, Arthur Leclerc and Tommaso Mosca graduated winners, expectations were high for the second round of the championship.

First on track was Giancarlo Fisichella, second in class but third overall at the end of Q1, with a lap of 1:47.558. The Roman driver then gave the wheel to Tommaso Mosca, who managed to conquer the fastest time of Q2 in 1'47.072. During the last seconds before the end of the session, a car went off the track forcing Q3 to start with about ten minutes of delay. Once the green flag waved again, it was Arthur Leclerc who took to the track. The Ferrari driver managed to maintain the first position, with a lap completed in 1:46.881.

Fabio Baldini, Team Principal:
After the Vallelunga round the expectations were very high, so we are happy to have obtained the pole position again. Tomorrow’s race will certainly be long and tiring, given the high temperatures recorded during the weekend that reached 40 degrees, but we are ready to give our all. Even today the drivers proved to be prepared and fast, so we are ready.

The race, lasting 3 hours, will start Sunday, July 14 at 15:00 and will be broadcast live on TV on ACI Sport TV, Sky channel 228, as well as on the YouTube channel Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo (link available at the bottom of the page).
